A man is accepted into a church for what he believes and he is turned out for what he knows. - Mark Twain
Joining QSI is easy. Meetings take place every Monday night starting at 6:30 on the second floor of the Grad club. You can show up any time during the year you wish. The meetings usually involve a freeform discussion of the weekly readings but can easily shift to any other topic that comes up.
There are no membership fees or obligations, nor any required attendance of meetings. You can add your name to the mailing list if you want to keep informed of upcoming events and changes in schedules. You should also sign up for the mailing list if you want to receive the weekly readings which will be discussed at each meeting.
In addition to the Monday meetings, QSI organizes many extracurricular events, such as debates and talks on pertinent issues. This year QSI will also be involved in making the case for Human Rights. Aleta Guenwald will be organizing an effort to raise awareness of human trafficking in Canada and internationally. Other events and causes can be developed as they may come up.
If you are interested in secularism, atheism, reason, or humanism, QSI is here to satisfy your craving for interesting discourse as well as giving a voice for secularism in our contemporary world.
